QuackPath
Terms of Service

Terms for using QuackPath.

Last updated: May 8, 2026

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and QuackPath. By creating an account, downloading, or using the QuackPath app or any related services (the "Service"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country to consent to online services) and legally able to enter into a binding contract. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Accounts

  • You may sign in using Google, Apple, or email and password.
  • You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate information when prompted and to keep it up to date.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being misused.

4. License to use the app

Subject to these Terms, QuackPath grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial language learning. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

5. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the Service in a way that violates any law or the rights of others.
  • Do not upload, paste, or import content you do not own or do not have permission to use for personal study.
  • Do not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, probe, overload, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Do not bypass usage limits, authentication, rate limiting, or any access controls.
  • Do not use the Service to generate or distribute infringing, hateful, harassing, sexual, deceptive, or otherwise unlawful material.

6. User content

Some features let you import or paste text and other content into QuackPath so the app can generate personalized study material from it ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. By using the Service you grant QuackPath a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, process, transform, and display your User Content solely as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service for you.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and for making sure you have the rights necessary to use it for personal study with QuackPath. You agree not to import content that infringes copyright, violates privacy, or breaches the terms of any third-party platform.

7. Third-party services and connectors

  • The Service may use or interoperate with third-party providers, including Google Firebase, Apple platform services, cloud hosting providers, and optional connectors that you explicitly enable.
  • Third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies, which govern your use of those services.
  • Availability of any optional integration may change, be limited, or be discontinued without notice.

8. Intellectual property

The QuackPath name, logo, app, generated study scaffolding, user interface, and underlying software are owned by QuackPath and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership of QuackPath's intellectual property to you, and you may not copy, modify, distribute, sublicense, or create derivative works of the Service except as expressly permitted.

9. Subscriptions and billing

QuackPath offers an optional paid plan ("QuackPath Plus") that unlocks additional features. The current price and duration for each plan are shown inside the app before you purchase.

  • Apple billing. On iOS, QuackPath Plus is sold through Apple's in-app purchase system. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
  • Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  • Manage or cancel. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings after purchase. Deleting the QuackPath app does not cancel a subscription.
  • Free trials and offers. Where a free trial or introductory offer is available, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you start a paid subscription. Eligibility for trials is determined by Apple.
  • Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple under its standard refund policies. Deleting your QuackPath account does not refund or cancel an active App Store subscription.

10. Account deletion

You can delete your QuackPath account from Settings -> My Data. Deletion removes your account and associated learning data from our active systems. It does not cancel a subscription that is billed by Apple — cancel that separately in your Apple ID settings.

11. Service changes and availability

QuackPath is under active development. We may add, change, limit, or remove features at any time, and the Service may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance or reasons beyond our control. Generated study material, translations, and other content may be incomplete, delayed, or imperfect.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. QUACKPATH IS A STUDY AID AND IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION, TRANSLATION, OR LEGAL ADVICE.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QUACKPATH AND ITS DEVELOPERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUES, GOODWILL, OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO QUACKPATH IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 50. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO PARTS OF THIS SECTION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

14. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless QuackPath and its developers from any claims, damages, liabilities, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your User Content.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect users or the integrity of the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from inside the app. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as User Content licenses for residual copies, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and dispute resolution) will survive.

16. Apple App Store terms

If you obtained the app through the Apple App Store, the following also applies. These Terms are between you and QuackPath only, not with Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the app to you (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the QuackPath developer is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. To the extent allowed by your local law, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought in the courts located in that jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory consumer rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated in the app or on this page. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
