How to play Echo
- Tap the speaker to hear the sentence. The first listen is free.
- Tap the words in the order you hear them. Tap a placed word to take it back.
- You have 3 checks for each sentence.
- A replay, a slow replay and each word in the wrong place cost a few points.
- In Japanese and Chinese the pieces join without spaces.
- There is usually a new puzzle every day at 17:00 UTC, the same for everyone who plays that language.
Why it helps when you learn a language
Echo trains listening and word order together, and the slow replay lets you catch a hard part. The sentences come from QuackPath’s courses and word-practice exercises, and the voices are synthesized speech. In the QuackPath app, each sentence is written out with its translation in your language when you finish; in the browser, they show once the week ends.
